A driver was killed in a fiery crash in Galloway Township late Monday afternoon.
Police were called to Wrangleboro Road in the area of Walden Way for a one-car crash, according to the report.
The 2002 Saturn had struck a utility pole and was engulfed in flames, police said.
Officers and two citizens tried to fight the fire to rescue the driver who was still inside, but were not successful.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The name is being withheld until next of kin is notified, police said.
The area was shut down for about three hours, which police investigated.
Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call Officer Steve Garrison at 609-652-3705.
