  • News

An Atlantic City man was convicted of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon after a three-day trial, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner announced Thursday.
Terri Bailey was arrested in April 2018, days after he discarded a handgun while running from Atlantic City police, according to the charge.
A ShotSpotter alert brought police to the 600 block of North Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard on March 29, 2018.
Officers saw a man matching the description with two other men. As police approached, Bailey ran and was seen discarding a loaded handgun, according to the charge.
Bailey ran into Schoolhouse Apartments. He was arrested a week later.
He remains in the Atlantic County Justice Facility awaiting sentencing set for Aug. 16.
