Man killed in Galloway crash was Stockton lacrosse player

  • News

A Stockton University student has been identified as the man killed Monday in a one-car crash in Galloway Township.
Jon Liguori, 21, was a Pennsylvania resident living in Galloway, where he played on Stockton's lacrosse team.
"Jon had a contagious smile that everyone was drawn to and was loved by so many," teammates wrote in a GoFundMe set up to help the family.

Police were called to Wrangleboro Road in the area of Walden Way on Monday night. When they arrived, Liguori's vehicle was already engulfed in flames, according to the earlier report.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Galloway Township police thanked the Stockton University Police Department and the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office for their assistance during the investigation.
Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call Officer Steven Garrison at 609-652-3705.
