Boy struck by car in Pleasantville

  • News

A child was injured when he was struck by a car after getting off a bus in Pleasantville on Sunday.
The 12-year-old had just left the NJ Transit bus at Mulberry Avenue at about 4:15 p.m., when he ran across the street behind the bus and was struck by a car, Capt. Matt Hartman said.
The driver along with witnesses stopped at the scene and waited for police, he said.
The boy got up and ran to his house nearby, according to the report.
Police then got a medical call to the boy's home, and he was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's Mainland Campus in Galloway Township.
