A man was arrested with a handgun after he assaulted and threatened to shoot a woman, according to Atlantic City police.
Police were called to the Pic-A-Lilli Pub on Tennessee Avenue at 4:19 Sunday morning, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
They found a 25-year-old woman with injuries from being punched multiple times by Landry Deorzan, according to the report.
Deorzan, 39, of Washington, D.C., also threatened to shoot the woman, showing her a handgun on his hip, Fair said.
Officers in the Police Department’s surveillance room were able to track Deorzan, who was then seen getting into a vehicle at South Carolina and Atlantic avenues.
Officer Scott Sendrick conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested Deorzan, Fair said.
A loaded handgun was found inside the vehicle.
Deorzan — who is charged as Landry Johnson — was charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, certain person not to possess a weapon, possession of an extended magazine and terroristic threats.
He is being held in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
