Three juveniles were arrested after assaulting and trying to rob a man Monday, Atlantic City police said Wednesday.
The attack was thwarted by a Good Samaritan.
Officers wee called to the beach block of Pennsylvania Avenue at about 6:50 p.m., to find a 48-year-old city man had been assaulted by several juveniles, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
A man witnessed the attack and jumped in to help, which caused the kids to run, according to the report.
Officers in the Police Department's Surveillance Center were able to to quickly find the teens on the Boardwalk after they were given descriptions of the suspects, Fair said.
Sgt. George Adams got to the Boardwalk and arrested a 14-year-old boy.
A 12- and 13-year-old fled and were arrested by Officers Marinela Pali and Kevin Sketers.
All three are from Atlantic City and were sent to the Harborfields Juvenile Detention Center in Egg Harbor City.
