A Vineland man is jailed after he allegedly stabbed a man during a fight Monday.
Police were called to the 700 block of South Sixth Street just before 7:30 p.m., and found the victim lying in the middle of the road, police said.
The 27-year-old victim, whose name was not released, had lacerations to the side of his neck and to his right palm, according to the report.
He was taken to Cooper Health Systems for treatment and is in stable condition, police said.
An investigation found that the victim and Wilfredo Navarro got into a verbal altercation that turned violent, according to the report.
Navarro, 27, stabbed the victims several times before fleeing, police said.
He was found a few hours later at his home three blocks away.
Navarro is charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon.
He is in the Cumberland County jail.
