Atlantic County’s prosecutor has agreed to a settlement after he was sued for defaulting on a loan.
Damon Tyner reached the agreement a week after nj.com first reported that Discover Bank was suing him over a $25,000 loan he took out in 2013.
Tyner had $8,596.90 remaining on the loan, which had not been paid in almost two years.
The settlement was filed Nov. 18, with Tyner agreeing to pay $6,500, according to the document signed by attorney Joel Schwartz.
Before that, it appeared the last payments made to the account were for $1,500 on Dec. 8, 2016, and a $1,200 payment Jan. 20, 2017, according to the payment history attached to the filing.
There has been no response from Tyner, who also has been the subject of at least three complaints to the Attorney General’s Office, including one by two former and one current employee.
