An Atlantic County couple was arrested after allegedly fleeing Absecon police in a stolen vehicle and then ditching a loaded gun while they ran.Absecon patrol units spotted the stolen 2018 Ford Focus at 11:17 a.m. Saturday, police said.The driver fled multiple units, police said.The vehicle was later found behind the Dollar General off South New Road, where officers saw the man and woman inside run.Damonyea Mallory Sr., 28, of Atlantic City, was hiding in the Oyster Bay complex and arrested, according to the report.Pamara Dudley, 20, of Mays Landing, was along West California Avenue near Manor Drive. As she ran from police, she was seen discarding a gun, which police retrieved, according to the report.Both were charged with receiving stolen property, resisting arrest, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of hollow-point bullets.Dudley was released on a summons.Mallory was additionally charged with eluding, possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. He was also issued numerous motor vehicle violations.
