City Council will choose the next mayor at a special meeting Tuesday night.
Members will vote from the three candidates chosen by the Atlantic City Democratic Committee last week.
The vacancy comes after Frank Gilliam pleaded guilty to wire fraud in for taking more than $87,000 meant for a youth basketball camp.
It's expected that acting Mayor Marty Small -- who was sworn in the day after Gilliam resigned -- will take the seat.
The two other candidates, Pamela Thomas and Gwen Callaway Lewis, said the would back Small.
The meeting is set for 5:30 p.m. in council chambers.
