  • News

An Atlantic City man in violation of a restraining order was arrested with a gun Monday morning, police said.
Police were called to the 1400 block of Adams Court at about 11 a.m. in reference to a restraining order violation, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Officers Lisa Sims, Maria Borsani and Kerry Dunbar arrived to find Robbie Pettus Jr. outside the residence of a former girlfriend.
Pettus, 33, was in violation of a restraining order served to him the night before, according to the report.
Pettus was arrested and searched by Dunbar, who found he had a loaded handgun in his pocket, Fair said.
He was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and violation of a restraining order.
Pettus is currently in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
