An Egg Harbor Township man is accused in a string of car burglaries in the Downbeach area.
Now Longport police are asking anyone who believes their vehicle was burglarized in the beginning of August to contact them.
Brian Cochrane, 40, was arrested Aug. 12, after police were called to suspicious activity around 11th Avenue at about 5:40 a.m., police announced this week.
Officers Dean Tibbitt and Joshua Sikoryak tried to run from them hiding between homes and the area landscape, according to the report.
Cochrane was then found hiding in a void of the rock wall on Point Drive, with several items in his possession, police said.
Statements and other evidence led to Cochrane being charged with two counts of burglary, theft of moveable property, four counts of theft from a motor vehicle and five counts of receiving stolen property.
He was also additionally charged by Margate and Ventnor police.
Longport police have the recovered property waiting to be claimed by the owners
