Atlantic City police are looking for a man they say wounded two people in a shooting Thursday night.
Lamar Quarles, 33, of Atlantic City, is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, unlawful possesion of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
One of the victims is also charged after a loaded gun was found inside his apartment where there were also two small children.
Police were called to Schoolhouse Apartments just after 8 p.m. Thursday for the report of a man shot, Sgt. Kevin Fair said Tuesday.
Officers found a 51-year-old man with serious injuries, accordign to the report. He was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus. His name is not being released.
Officers then found a second victim inside an apartment.
Erick Harvey, 27, had gunshot wounds. He was takent to the city hospital, where he was also placed in custody after he was found with multiple warrants for his arrest, Fair said.
An investigation by the Violent Crimes Unit led to charges of unlawful possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child. He remains hospitalized, and will be taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility as soon as he is released.
