Three people were arrested, along with 500 grams of cocaine and a gun seized after a three-month investigation into a drug-trafficking operation in Ocean County.
Mario Galli, Amanda Humphreys and Jason Vella were engaged in "extensive trafficking," with nearly $2,300 in cash and a loaded 9 mm handgun seized in the raids on two residences -- one in Berkeley and one in Toms River, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said.
Galli, 27, of Brick; Humphreys, 24, of Seaside Heights, and Vella, 37, of Berkeley Township, face multiple charges including possession and distribution of more than five ounces of cocaine, possession of weapon during the commission of a drug offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Galli is additionally charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
All three are in the Ocean County jail awaiting detention hearings.
