The area has received more than $1.4 million in Community Development Block Grants, officials announced Thursday.“Atlantic City is the only municipality in Atlantic County to receive money,” Mayor Marty Small said Thursday evening.He said he spoke with Sen. Cory Booker, D-NJ, and that the city would be receiving $786,810 in funds meant to help communities fund things like infrastructure, economic development projects, public facilities installation, community centers, housing rehabilitation and public services.The county also was awarded $704,535.
