Galloway man found dead by police serving warrant

The Attorney General's Office is investigating the death of a Galloway Township man found dead when members of the Atlantic County Emergency Response Team went to his home with a search warrant early Thursday.
The 27-year-old man was found in his bedroom with a gunshot wound to the head after members of the county SWAT team entered the Oakbourne Avenue home at about 5:30 a.m., according to the report.
A handgun was found near his body. 
His identity is not being released at this time.
The investigation is being conducted by the Integrity Bureau within the Attorney General’s Office of Public Integrity and Accountability.
There was no use of force used against the man by officer involved, according to a preliminary investigation.
The office is investigating because the death was discovered and may have occurred while officer were at the residence.
No further information is being released at this time.
