A rain intermission during a football game Sunday didn't stop a group of Atlantic City kids and some officers from taking to the field.
"This is why we wear the uniform," Sgt. NeeCee Parks wrote on her Facebook page, sharing a short pick-up game three Class II officers played with 10 local children.
Officers Elijah Johnson, Akwasi Adu and Sangenys Estrella-Garcia had some fun with the kids during the break at the weekly Stay Hungry Stop the Violence Basketball Tournament.
While the department was proud of its officers' community participation, it wasn't so sure about their skills.
"We're going to need to get our officers a little more practice on defense," read a post sharing the video on the department's Facebook page. "Kids were wide open all over with some good upfront blocking."
