An Atlantic County couple was wounded when they were shot at inside a car in Atlantic City on Tuesday night.
A ShotSpotter alert brought police to the first block of South Florida Avenue, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
A 33-year-old Galloway Township man was shot and drove himself to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus, according to the report. His injuries were not considered life-threatening.
His female passenger ran from the vehicle after sustaining an injury from shrapnel, Fair said.
The 36-year-old Atlantic City woman was taken to the hospital by Officer Brandon Bower.
to the On December 1, 2020, at 9:32 pm, patrol officers responded to the first block of south Florida Avenue for a ShotSpotter alert. A man and woman, who were in the same vehicle, were wounded in the gunfire. The man, 33, of Galloway, was shot and drove himself to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division for treatment of his non-life threatening injuries. The woman, 36, of Atlantic City, ran from the vehicle after sustaining an injury from shrapnel. She was transported to the medical center by Officer Brandon Bower.
