A bomb threat on social media brought police and explosive-sniffing dogs to the Galloway Township Middle School on Friday morning.
No threat was found.
A student was overheard saying something about a threat she received via Snapchat, Superintendent Annette Giaquinto told parents in an email.
The teacher immediately reported it to administration who enacted their Bomb Threat Emergency Response Plan, she said, noting that "the threat language was vague and considered low credibility."
"Your children did an excellent job of following directions and maintaining social distancing during this situation," Giaquinto said.
She thanked Galloway Township police as well as K-9 units from Stockton University, Hamilton Township, Hammonton and Atlantic City.
