Stockton University's Atlantic City visitors will now have a place to park.
The Board of Trustees approved the purchase of 3428 Atlantic Ave., which is owned by the city.
The site will cost $383,000, its appraised price.
The 11,982-square-foot property is adjacent to the new Stockton residential facility being constructed at the Atlantic City campus.
It will support facilities and operations at the city campus and Rothenberg Building, which is in front of the lot.
“We are buying the parking lot for use by our Rothenberg Building employees and guests,” said Donald Hudson, vice president for Facilities and Operations. “The property also gives us growth potential for future expansion.”
The Rothenberg Building was a former law office Stockton bought in 2016. It now contains the Lloyd D. Levenson Institute of Gaming, Hospitality and Tourism and Stockton, and the Stockton Office of Continuing Studies.
