Two Atlantic City teens have been arrested in the Christmas night shooting that wounded a Vineland teen.
A ShotSpotter alert brought officers to the 1700 block of Atlantic Avenue, where they found the 17-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound at 9:19 p.m. Friday, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
The teen, whose name was not released, was taken to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for injuries not considered life-threatening.
An investigation by detectives of the Violent Crimes Unit led to charges against a 15-year-old and 16-year-old from the city.
A flyer was distributed and both teens were arrested within four hours, in the same block as the shooting, Fair said.
Officer Jamar Dabney arrested the 16-year-old boy.
Officers Kevin Perez and Christian Ivanov arrested the 15-year-old boy, who was also charged with possession of cocaine, according to the report.
Both teens were charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and conspiracy.
They are being held in the Harborfields Juvenile Detention Center.
