An Atlantic City man was convicted Wednesday of stabbing a cell phone store employee in 2018.
Geno McIntosh, 29, was arrested shortly after the Nov. 26, 2018, attack on a worker at the Assurance Wireless in Atlantic City.
Kristeph Cassimere was stabbed in the neck with a folding knife after he declined to sell McIntosh a cell phone, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner said.
Witnesses at the time were credited with helping track down McIntosh so quickly.
McIntosh had a bench trial before Superior Court Judge Bernard DeLury.
He was convicted of aggravated assault, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
Witnesses helped police track down an Atlantic City man who allegedly stabbed a cell phone store employee Monday. Officers George Mancuso and Ozriel Martin were finishing a call at 5:41 p.m. in the 1700 block of Atlantic Avenue, when a man with a stab wound to his neck ran up to them, Sgt. Kevin Fair said. Mancuso immediately started to treat the wound.
