Five people were arrested in less than an hour Wednesday, as Atlantic City police continue to target drugs and prostitution on Pacific Avenue. Detective Alberto Valles conducted a motor vehicle stop at 5:24 p.m., in the 2800 block of Pacific Avenue. The driver, Ataa Coleman, 31, of Williamsport, Pa., was arrested after he was found in possession of marijuana, Sgt. Kevin Fair said. He was released on a warrant. At 5:50 p.m., Sgt. Richard Andrews saw Anthony Wright-Johnson loitering in the south block of Pennsylvania Avenue. Wright-Johnson, 48, of Atlantic City, had several active warrants for his arrest from multiple local municipalities, and was taken into custody without incident, Fair said. He was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility. Detective Nicholas Berardis told detectives to stop a vehicle driven by Rachel Maddelin in the 3000 block in reference to a narcotic investigation, according to the report. The 30-year-old Galloway Township woman had active warrants and 100 bags of heroin, Fair said. Her arrest led detectives to a motel on Pacific Avenue, where Mya Spellman and Badia Watts were arrested. Detectives found 300 bags of heroin, drug paraphernalia and small amounts of cocaine and marijuana, Fair said. Spellman, 20, of Egg Harbor City, and Watts, 22, of Philadelphia, were charged and released on summonses.
