An Atlantic City man and woman are jailed on drug and gun charges after a month-long investigation.
Detectives found a loaded handgun, 40 grams of cocaine, PCP and paraphernalia used for drug distribution at the home on the 300 block of Tennessee Avenue, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Christopher Weldon and Shanita Boyd were charged with two counts each of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute, possession with intent to distribute within a school zone, possession with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public zone, and a count each of unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon while committing a CDS offense and possession of CDS paraphernalia.
Weldon, 33, was additionally charged with possession by a convicted felon.
He was arrested on cocaine charges in 2018, and has a criminal history dating to at least 2012, court records show.
The investigation was led by Detective Darrin Lorady.
