Atlantic City firefighters rescued a woman and her two dogs from a burning home Sunday night.
Heavy fire was coming out the front window and front door of the one-story wood-frame house at 2019 Kuehnle Ave., Fire Chief Scott Evans said.
Firefighters were called at about 7:20 p.m., and Rescue 1 and Ladder 1 entered through the rear to do a search and rescue, he said.
The resident was found semi-conscious in her bedroom along with a dog. There was zero visibility and high heat when firefighters rescued the woman through a bedroom window while firefighters were attacking the fire, Evans said.
Another dog was found in a different bedroom, Evans said.
