Absecon man is county's latest COVID-19 victim

A 75-year-old Absecon man died from complications of COVID-19, Atlantic County health officials said Friday.
The man had underlying health conditions, officials said.
The county also had 24 more residents test positive, including a 5-year-old boy and 12-year-old girl.
The newly confirmed cases included six Egg Harbor Township residents, four from Atlantic City, three from Egg Harbor City and two in Hammonton.
Absecon, Brigantine, Buena Borough, Corbin City, Galloway Township, Hamilton Township, Linwood, Pleasantville and Ventnor each had one newly confirmed case.
There are now 2,994 residents who have tested positive with 1,505 listed as recovered. There have been 209 deaths.

Atlantic County will continue testing by appointment for symptomatic county residents with a doctor’s prescription from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in Northfield behind the county’s public works yard at Route 9 and Dolphin Avenue. Appointments are can be made online at www.aclink.org.
