Driver hospitalized in Pleasantville crash

  • News

A driver had to be extricated from his car Friday after a crash in Pleasantville.
A black Chevy Malibu and a red Toyota Camry were both headed east on Delilah Road, when the Chevy made a U-turn into the path of the Toyota, Capt. Matt Hartman said.
The Toyota then struck the Chevy, according to the report.
The Chevy driver was rescued from his car by Pleasantville Fire/Rescue with help from TriCare EMS, Hartman said.
Neither driver's name was available Friday night.
The driver of the Chevy suffered moderate injuries and was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus by TriCare and AtlantiCare paramedics.
The other driver refused treatment.
Delilah Road was closed both ways for a short time.
The investigation is ongoing.

The black car, at top, made a U-turn and was struck by the red car, police said.
