Mays Landing man dies after being hit by car

A Mays Landing man died after being struck by a car in Pleasantville early Sunday morning.
Police were called to the 700 block of the Black Horse Pike at 4:38 a.m., Capt. Matt Hartman said.
The pedestrian was found badly injured, lying underneath the vehicle that struck him, according to the report.
Ryan Mammoccio, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, Hoang Nguyen, 39, of Egg Harbor Township, was cooperative with investigators, Hartman said.
TriCare EMS and AtlantiCare Paramedics assisted at the scene.
Pleasantville units were assisted at the scene by Pleasantville Fire/Rescue, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Fatal Crash Unit, New Jersey State Police and the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
Pleasantville Sgt Miguel Lugo is investigating.
No summonses have been issued at this time.
