Girl, 11, violently assaulted by two women in Pleasantville, police say

  • News

Two Mays Landing women are in jail after they violently assaulted an 11-year-old girl, according to the charges.
The victim was left with bruises, scratches, bite marks and chunks of hair pulled out.
Pleasantville police were called to the Marina del Rey apartments at 12:41 Tuesday morning for a call of criminal mischief, Capt. Matt Hartman said.
But when police arrived they were told that the girl had been assaulted by two women, and that the juvenile fled.
Officers found the girl with injuries to her head, face and body, according to the report.
After an investigation, Nicole Miller, 32, and her fiancee, Heather Grosso, 36, were arrested.
The girl is related to one of the women.
Miller and Grosso are charged with simple assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
They are in the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending detention hearings set for next week.
