Atlantic County reported eight new cases and no deaths in the lowest report concerning COVID-19 cases in nearly two months.The newly confirmed cases included six men, ages 19 to 62 and two women, ages 37 to 71.
Egg Harbor Township, Galloway and Pleasantville each had two new positives while Hamilton Township and Hammonton each had one.
To date, Atlantic County has confirmed 2,273 residents who have tested positive for COVID-19 and 158 deaths with 894 residents cleared as recovered.
Atlantic County will continue testing, but the location has moved to provide greater protection from the elements in the event of bad weather, officials said.The county test site is now in Northfield, behind the county's Public Works facility at Route 9 and Dolphin Avenue.The next testing dates will be from 10 a.m. to 1p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.Residents must have symptoms, a prescription and an appointment.Appointments can be made on the county web site at www.aclink.org. Those who are unable to keep their appointments are asked to cancel so others may have an opportunity to be tested.
