Weymouth Township reported its first COVID-19 death Saturday.A 74-year-old man was the only new death reported in Atlantic County, bringing the total to 169.There were also 26 newly confirmed cases: eight men, ages 22 to 73; and 18 women, ages 24 to 81.
Nine of those who tested positive were from Atlantic City, four each from Hammonton and Pleasantville, three from Galloway Township and two from Hamilton Township. Absecon, Buena Vista Township, Egg Harbor Township and Ventnor each had one newly confirmed case.
There have also been 44 more residents cleared as recovered, bringing the total to 1,107 of the 2,395 confirmed cases in the county. Atlantic County will continue its testing on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to noon behind the Public Works yard in Northfield at New Road and Dolphin Avenue. Appointments can be made online at www.aclink.org.Those tested must be county residents with symptoms and a prescription.
