Open alcohol containers will be allowed on certain places on the Boardwalk and elsewhere in Atlantic City for the next few months, Mayor Marty Small announced Monday. The move is meant to help businesses hit by the coronavirus closings and limitations, Small said.
State law allows the temporary executive order that will last the next six months.
Deputy Chief James Sarkos said he is confident that precautions are in place to make sure residents and tourists walk the Boardwalk while "safely and responsibly enjoying the food and beverage experience."
