Fire burns vacant Atlantic City house

A fire spread quickly Wednesday night through a vacant house in Atlantic City.
The blaze started in the crawl space of the two-story structure, where homeless people were believed to be living, Fire Chief Scott Evans.
Six fire companies responded to 214 N. South Carolina Ave., where the balloon construction and asphalt shingles caused the fire to spread quickly, he said.
Code Enforcement has been notified.
