Atlantic County has been leading the way in fighting human trafficking in the state.On Sunday, the FBI's Child Exploitation Task Force was honored by the 200 Club of Atlantic and Cape May Counties for its "exceptional service in the line of duty.
"The task force encompasses several agencies, including State Police, Department of Human Services, Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office, Atlantic County Sheriff's Office and Atlantic City police.
“I am extremely proud of the collaborative work done by this task force," Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner said. "They saved the lives of these victims and have given them a new lease on life.”

This is the second time this year Buckley has been honored for her work.
In January, she was recognized as a 2020 Advocacy Champion by the state Coalition Against Human Trafficking.
“While I am grateful and humbled by this award, the true credit goes to the survivors of this horrific crime – they are modern-day warriors whose strength, courage and resiliency inspire me to advocate on their behalf,” Buckley said at the time.
