Two people are charged after an investigation into a Little Egg Harbor Township residence being used to store and distribute methamphetamine and heroin.Detectives seized about 18 grams of meth and two grams of heroin, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer announced Tuesday.The no-knock warrant was served at the home Feb. 21, after a two-month multi-agency investigation.John Sharpe, 35, of Little Egg Harbor, was charged with possession of more than ½ ounce but less than five ounces of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.He was taken to the Ocean County jail, but later released under bail reform.
Tara Giberson, 34, also of Little Egg Harbor, was given the same charges.Giberson is currently being held on an unrelated willful nonsupport charge, according to records. She owes $6,674.02.
Billhimer lauded the efforts of the agencies involved, including his office's Narcotics Strike Force and Asset Forfeiture Unit, along with the Ocean County Regional SWAT Team, Little Egg Harbor Police Department, Little Egg Harbor Drug Enforcement Unit, Little Egg Harbor Detective Bureau and Patrol Division, Stafford Township Police Department K-9 Unit, and the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
