Atlantic City's losing new business administrator

  • Government

Just two months after joining Atlantic City's administration, Dr. Stephanie Bush-Baskette is leaving.

Bush-Baskette's tenure ends April 3, Department of Community Affairs spokeswoman Lisa Ryan told BreakingAC.

But it seems the Galloway Township resident is already gone.

In the next two weeks, the work will be transferred to City Solicitor Anthony Swan will serve as interim business administrator, as he did before Bush-Baskette came.

Michael Perugini will serve as interim solicitor.

The state offered no details about what led to the departure, including whether it was Bush-Baskette's choice or a move by the state.

"We wish Dr. Bush-Baskette well in her future professional endeavors," Ryan said.

When Bush-Baskette was brought on, Lt. Gov. Sheila Oliver noted her "distinguished career (and) blend of expertise in municipal administration, government ethics and social policy."
