An Atlantic City man wanted in three shots fired incidents and a domestic case was arrested after he got in a fight with hospital security officers, police said. Shakeem Roberts was arrested Thursday, after he became involved in an altercation with security at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s City Campus, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.Atlantic City police put out a wanted flyer earlier this month, saying Roberts was wanted in a shots fired investigation.
Now, police say he was wanted for three instances in which he fired a handgun. Roberts, 24, also is accused of kicking in the door of a former girlfriend and then assaulting her earlier this month.Roberts already has served more than four years in prison, from an armed robbery charge when he was just 16.
He and two 17-year-olds were charged as adult in the 2012 gunpoint robbery of a pizza delivery driver in Atlantic City.
He served two years of a five-year sentence, when he was first released.
Four months later, he was the victim of a shooting. The suspect in that case was a 15-year-old who was on an ankle bracelet at the time. Four months after that, Roberts was back in prison, where he maxed out of his sentence last year.
