Cape May County announced five new cases Sunday, including a second 12-year-old girl.The county total is now 15.The news cases include a 12-year-old girl, a 56-year-old woman and three men, ages, 21. 63 and 78.
The announcement came a day after another 12-year-old girl was listed as the county's 10th case.No details were given about where the girls went to school or if they are from the same town.The new cases include three in Lower Township and one each in Avalon and North Wildwood.“The health of our residents is our number one priority," Health Officer Kevin Thomas said. "Cape May County Department of Health continues to be diligent by working closely with public health partners to monitor the current situation and spread of the COVID-19. We urge our residents to continue social distancing and taking all standard precautions such as washing your hands and frequently cleaning touched surfaces.”
A 12-year-old girl is the latest confirmed case of the coronavirus in Cape May County, officials announced Saturday.
The girl is recovering at home, health officials said.
