Pedestrian critically injured in EHT

A pedestrian was critically injured when he was struck by a car Monday night in Egg Harbor Township. The unidentified man was struck as he walked north across the Black Horse Pike in the township’s West Atlantic City section at about 8:48 p.m., Lt. Robert Gray said. Ann Bucciero, 63, of Ventnor Heights, was heading west when she struck the man in the area of the St. Joseph Resort Hotel in the outside lane, according to the report. The man suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s City Campus for treatment. The crash is being investigated by Sgt. Larry Graham, and Officers Pat Daly and Jim Ludwig. Traffic was detoured for about two hours during the investigation. Traffic citations are pending at this time.
