Ten Atlantic County long-term facility residents have died of coronavirus complications, health officials said Wednesday.The county also announced 38 newly confirmed cases and 60 more recoveries from COVID-19.The deaths included four Galloway Township residents, ages 71 to 95; a 90-year-old Northfield woman; two 92-year-old Linwood women; an 87-year-old Egg Harbor Township man; and two Hammonton men, ages 84 and 90.
The total of county deaths is now 96.
The newly confirmed positives include a 16-year-old boy.
The cases include seven in Atlantic City, six in Galloway Township and Pleasantville, and four each in Egg Harbor Township and Hammonton.
Northfield had three new positives while Egg Harbor City and Hamilton Township each had two.
Absecon, Buena Borough, Somers Point and Ventnor each had one new case.
Atlantic County will continue next Thursday, by appointment, for symptomatic county residents with a doctor’s prescription, proof of residency and appointment confirmation.
Residents may make an appointment for testing online at www.aclink.org. In addition to the doctor’s prescription, residents must also provide proof of residency, such as a driver’s license or utility bill, as well as the appointment confirmation.
Those who are unable to keep their appointments are asked to cancel so that others will have an opportunity to be tested.
