Eight more deaths of Atlantic County residents have been attributed to COVID-19, bringing the county death toll to 104, health officials said Thursday.Seven of those fatalities were in long-term care facilities.There were three Hammonton residents: two men ages 62 and 76 and a 58-year-old woman.The other deaths were two Galloway Township men, ages 87 and 93; two Northfield men, ages 67 and 94, and a 68-year-old Pleasantville man.All had pre-existing conditions that make them more at risk, officials said.Sixty-four more residents also have tested positive for the virus, including a 16-year-old girl, a 91-year-old woman and 28 men ages 20 to 63.The new positives include 12 Hammonton residents, 10 each in Galloway Township and Pleasantville and seven each in Atlantic City and Egg Harbor Township.
Absecon had four new cases, while Hamilton Township and Ventnor each had three.
Buena Vista Township and Linwood had two confirmations and Egg Harbor City, Margate, Northfield and Somers Point all had one.
There were also 36 more residents cleared as recovered, bringing that total to 447 of the 1,666 positives in the county.
