Atlantic County reported no new deaths from COVID-19 on Monday.There were 38 newly confirmed positives, including a 15-year-old girl.There are now 1,816 confirmed positives in the county, including 112 deaths and 501 residents cleared as recovered.Ten of the newly confirmed cases were Pleasantville residents, eight from Atlantic City, and three each from Egg Harbor City, and Egg Harbor, Galloway and Hamilton townships.
Absecon, Hammonton and Mullica Township each had two newly confirmed cases, with one each in Somers Point and Ventnor.
The county has tested 1,342 residents with 26 percent confirmed positive.
Testing will continue Tuesday and Thursday for symptomatic county residents with a doctor’s prescription. Testing is conducted from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. behind the Hamilton Mall in Mays Landing. Appointments can be made online at www.aclink.org.
Residents should come prepared with their doctor’s script, proof of residency such as a driver’s license or utility bill, and their appointment confirmation. Those who are unable to keep their appointments are asked to cancel so others may have an opportunity to be tested.
In the event of inclement weather (heavy rain and/or high winds) on a scheduled test date, residents with appointments should check the county website (www.aclink.org) for updates regarding postponement and rescheduling.
