Six Atlantic County long-term care residents are most recent deaths attributed to COVID-19.Three Absecon women, two Hammonton men and a Northfield man bring the county's deaths to 127.
There were also 32 newly confirmed cases, including a 2-year-old boy.
The cases include eight Atlantic City residents, six from Hammonton, four from Pleasantville and three from Ventnor.Absecon, Egg Harbor City and Egg Harbor Township each had two new cases, with one each in Linwood, Northfield, Somers Point, and Galloway and Hamilton townships.The county also cleared another 107 residents as recovered, bringing that number to 648 of the 1,892 confirmed cases.
Testing will continue Thursday for symptomatic county residents with a doctor’s prescription. Testing is conducted from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. behind the Hamilton Mall in Mays Landing. Appointments can be made online at www.aclink.org.
Residents should come prepared with their doctor’s script, proof of residency such as a driver’s license or utility bill, and their appointment confirmation. Those who are unable to keep their appointments are asked to cancel so others may have an opportunity to be tested.
In the event of inclement weather (heavy rain and/or high winds) on a scheduled test date, residents with appointments should check the county website (www.aclink.org) for updates regarding postponement and rescheduling.
