A Mays Landing man was arrested after he allegedly assaulted a Ventnor store clerk and robbed him.Ventnor police were called to North Beach Liquors after 5 p.m. Tuesday by an off-duty Atlantic City police officer.The off-duty officer was able to give police a description, leading to the quick arrested of Siewon Nimley, according to the report.
Nimley, 39, is accused of assaulting the clerk during a transaction, and then stealing cash from the register before fleeing, Capt. Joe Fussner said. No weapon was used.Both Nimley and the clerk suffered minor injuries.Nimley is charged with robbery, simple assault, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.He was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
