At least one man was taken into custody after an apparent standoff in Atlantic City on Sunday morning.Information will be released when it becomes fully available, said Sgt. Kevin Fair, spokesman for the Atlantic City Police Department.Fair would not immediately comment on whether anyone was charged.
Police responded to the 1100 block of Arctic Area for a call about a man with an AK-47. The area was blocked off, including N. North Carolina Avenue, across the street from the Atlantic County Civil Courthouse.Resident Hakeem Peterson followed much of the drama via Facebook Live started at 8:23 a.m.In it, a woman tells him that a man threatened her with what she said was an AK-47.She said he then ran into the store.About an hour later, after police take a man out of a building, the witness is seen being led out of the back of a police car.Another woman, who was previously seen handcuffed, is taken out of the back of another police vehicle and released.

Atlantic City man who caused standoff released on summons
An Atlantic City man who was the subject of a standoff was charged with unlawful possession of a defaced firearm and released Sunday. Police were called to the 1100 block of Arctic Avenue just before 8 a.m., for the report of a man with a rifle.
The Police Department's Emergency Response Team was called to the scene after Wesley Robinson fled inside a residence with the rifle and refused to come out, according to the report.
