Atlantic County's 50 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases include a 3-year-old girl and 16-year-old boy.The county also had seven more deaths, including three who were residents of long-term care facilities.There were also an additional 84 residents cleared as recovered for a total of 796.The deaths included an 87-year-old man and a 93-year-old woman from Pleasantville, an 88-year-old Absecon man, an 81-year-old Galloway woman, an 85-year-old Egg Harbor City woman, an 84-year-old Egg Harbor Township man and a 42-year-old Hammonton man. Among the newly confirmed cases were 18 Pleasantville residents, seven from Atlantic City and six are from Galloway Township.
Egg Harbor and Hamilton townships each had four, Absecon and Somers Point each had three, with two new cases in Hammonton and one each in Egg Harbor City, Estell Manor and Margate.
Atlantic County has confirmed 2,147 residents who have tested positive, with 156 deaths.
Atlantic County will continue testing, but the location has moved to provide greater protection from the elements in the event of bad weather, officials said.The county test site is now in Northfield, behind the county's Public Works facility at Route 9 and Dolphin Avenue.The next testing dates will be from 10 a.m. to 1p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.Residents must have symptoms, a prescription and an appointment.Appointments can be made on the county web site at www.aclink.org. Those who are unable to keep their appointments are asked to cancel so others may have an opportunity to be tested.
