Two Vineland men were arrested and two guns recovered after shots were fired early Saturday morning.
Officers were on a call at Florida and Fairmount avenues at 2:32 a.m., when they heard multiple gunshots coming from the 200 block of Florida Avenue, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
Wilfredo Santiago-Bota and Edwin Rodriguez were arrested after Officer Sean McGettigan stopped their car fleeing the scene, according to the report.
Two handguns and a 30-round magazine were found inside, Fair said.
Santiago-Bota, 26, and Rodriguez, 31, were each charged with two counts of purchasing firearm parts to manufacture a firearm without a serial number and unlawful possession of a weapon, along with single counts of possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, possession of large-capacity magazine and certain person not to possess a weapon.
Santiago-Bota was additionally charged with aggravated assault.
There were no reported injuries.
Both men were being held in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
