An Atlantic City man was wounded in a shooting early Sunday morning.
Officer Kleovoulos Zissimopoulos was responding to a ShotSpotter alert in the 800 block of Maryland Avenue just before 2 a.m., when he was stopped by the victim of a gunshot wound, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
The 27-year-old man was taken to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for treatment. His name is not being released.
His injuries were not considered life-threatening, Fair said Monday.
