Hamilton police offer tips after increased car burglaries

  • News

Hamilton Township police are warning residents to be aware of a recent increase in burglaries of motor vehicles.
"(We) remind residents of three easy tips to keep your vehicles and valuables safe, and help reduce the chance of becoming the victim of a motor vehicle burglary," police wrote in a release Monday.
Residents should always:

  • Lock vehicle's doors.
  • Park in well-lit areas, if possible
  • Do not leave valuables in plain view. Place them in the trunk or bring them indoors.

Residents should always be aware of their surroundings.
Anyone who notices any suspicious activity should call police at 609-625-2700, ext. 1.
