Man strikes Atlantic City police car after allegedly running stop sign

  • News

An Atlantic City man had several outstanding warrants but not a valid driver's license when he ran a stop sign and crashed into a police car, police said.
Myron Brown, 37, failed to stop at the intersection of Connecticut and Wabash avenues just before 10 a.m. Tuesday, when he struck a marked patrol car driven by Officer Ryan Mullin, according to the report.
The impact sent the patrol car into a spin, striking a parked car, a house's fence and then another parked car, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
Brown and Mullin were taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for treatment.
Brown was arrested on several active warrants, Fair said. Brown's driver's license also is not valid.
He was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
Anyone with information is urged to call Atlantic City police at 609-347-5744 or anonymously text to tip411 (847411), beginning the text with ACPD.
